He was formerly a Research Assistant under the “Cultural Gesture Recognition using Computer Vision” project with the Department of Computing and Information Technology. Some of his past projects include a navigation application that allows users to locate classrooms on the UWI St. Augustine campus, an e-commerce website and various video game tech demos using both the Unity and Unreal game engines.
Some of his personal projects include a force feedback racing simulator wheel and a 3D printer while his interests include graphic design, photography, videography, football and cars. He intends to contribute to transforming Trinidad and Tobago into a world leader in various industries with a particular focus on the tech and automotive sectors.
Past Projects :
Robot Operations:
Performed daily remote robot operations shifts using multiple types of industrial robot workcells through both direct manual control as well as supervising autonomous operations.
Coordinated with the client teams to ensure optimal operational throughput as well as assisting with further development and improvement of the robotics systems through feedback and experimentation.
Assisted client teams in conducting system demonstrations to key stakeholders.
Software/Hardware Testing :
Performed daily testing of new client software builds as well as their associated robotics hardware and infrastructure.
Provided detailed bug reports of any issues encountered and fixed said issues when possible.
Worked with client teams to further investigate, debug and fix encountered bugs.
Identified and developed new test cases and methods for client systems.
Digital Asset Creation :
Worked with the internal simulation team and the relevant client teams to identify and gather requirements of desired digital assets, namely 3D models.
Created and manipulated 3D models to satisfy client requirements using software such as Blender and Solidworks.
Integrated created assets into and optimized existing assets in the relevant simulation environments within Unity.
Webserver Development :
Worked with relevant stakeholders to identify and implement desired features with a web application that assisted in facilitating and streamlining data collection using drones.
