RAJIV MAHARAJ
Software Engineer
Rajiv received his BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh in 2019. His past projects include utilizing neural networks for head motion synthesis and creating a “social intranet” for a governmental organization. At Virtana, he has primarily focused on developing perception and camera calibration systems for robots. Working at Virtana allows Rajiv to engage deeply with these areas and software engineering in general. This experience has bolstered his already significant interest in computer vision and he aims to continue developing his expertise in this and other areas of robotics. In his free time, Rajiv enjoys reading philosophy and plays pen-and-paper RPGs.
Past Projects:
Calibration
Assisted as a technical lead for the development of a multi-robot, multi-camera automatic calibration pipeline. (Numpy, SciPy, OpenCV, Python, Unity, Golang)
Vectorized the solver of the aforementioned calibration system to decrease solve times 10x. (Numpy, SciPy, OpenCV, Python)
Developed a standalone camera calibration system to estimate extrinsics in a custom environment. (Numpy, SciPy, OpenCV, Python)
SW Infrastructure
Built user-friendly interfaces and state-management systems for on-demand and scheduled calibration. (C#, Unity, Golang)
Cloud Backend
Developed a management system for easily configuring a fleet of robot arm workcells. (Firestore, Golang, Bash, Systemd)
