NIKAULEENE ANDREWS
Remote Robot Operator - Technical Artist Contributor
Prior to becoming a Robot Operator, Nikauleene Andrews received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of the Southern Caribbean. Soon after, she completed an Editorial Internship and freelanced for a technology and video game website, where she wrote articles and theorized video game proposals.
At Virtana, she later developed an interest in 3D modeling and has worked and collaborated to deploy 3D robot simulation scenes and create 3D assets.
Past Projects:
Smoke Testing
Processed bug and test reporting with additional logs and context, creating a clear entry point for engineers.
Assisted software engineers with bug triaging and tested bug fixes.
Robot Operations
Created datasets for machine learning robots.
Performed daily robot operations at above average speeds with few or none operator-induced crashes or protective stops.
Identified, documented and escalated bugs or unexpected behavior in the system during day-to-day robot operations.
3D Robot Simulation Scenes
Assembled functional 3D modeled simulation replicas of real-life UR robot arm workcells using Unity, Github and Blender.
Created 3D assets for simulation scenes.
Creation of the Sim Scene Tracker
Created a detailed JIRA board system for each simulation scene where software engineers can access historical data and related issues.
